Kidoko Learning

An offline-first learning platform being built for schools and community programmes in Africa — first deployment planned in Kidoko, Uganda.

Honest status: no pilot has run yet. Everything on this page describes the plan and the engineering under way — not measured learning results. When field evidence exists, it will be published here with dates and sample sizes.

For learners

Structured lessons, projects and practice for learners roughly ages 10–14, designed for shared phones and tablets — downloaded once, usable without internet.

For facilitators

Session plans, attendance and observation tools that keep working on a school LAN with no internet, syncing when a connection appears.

For caregivers

Visibility into what a learner is working on and evidence of real skill growth — not screen-time numbers or public rankings.

Offline by design

Content packs download to the device; progress queues locally and syncs later through the cloud or a school hub. Offline does not mean first-install-without-provisioning — setup still needs a connection once.

What we will not do

No advertising to children and no sale of learner data.
No public leaderboards or streak pressure mechanics.
No private adult-to-child messaging.
Offline practice scores are low-stakes by design — this is not a secure examination platform.

Adult access (facilitators, caregivers, educators, operators) lives in the console — sign-in arrives with the Wave-2 access work; the shell is viewable today.
